Prasad Patil

Co-founder & CEO

Prasad sets the overall company strategy and direction for Aissel. He is responsible for setting the company vision and leading the team to create world-class software products and business research services. Aissel Solutions is a technology solutions and business research company. Their value proposition is delivering accurate analysis to customers through the right balance of cutting-edge technology and human insights. Their flagship product, KOLM helps identify, analyze and connect the bio-pharmaceutical internal experts with the external scientific Thought Leaders. Prasad firmly believes that the key to success is having a clear understanding of customer pain points and bringing in new ideas to solve those problems. Prior to starting Aissel, he was the head of Information Support Practice at Empower Research, a business research company. Aditya Birla Group and ITC are other companies he worked with in his 10 years of experience. He worked with various Fortune 500 clients establishing large scale operations, process re-engineering, solution designing and building corporate strategy. He holds a bachelor’s degree in science from Karnatak University and MBA from University of Wales.

Mahesh Grampurohit

Co-founder & CTO

Mahesh is the Co-founder and CTO of Aissel and comes with over 15+ years of experience in software development and technology architecture. Prior to starting Aissel, he was the Chief Architect at Cybage Software. As a core member of the technology architecture group, he led many projects for companies like Symantec, Microsoft, Netopia, Motorola, RocketSofware, etc. He was a member of the global SWAG (Software Architecture Group) for Symantec and worked on researching, mentoring and setting technology direction for global product teams. His expertise spans wide range of technologies including C, C++, Unix, MS .Net, OOD, OOA, TCP/IP, SNMP, Java & other open source technolgies etc. He brings in valuable experience in designing and managing large scale enterprise-level applications. Mahesh and his highly qualified and experienced engineering team work hard on our software solutions and built unmatched capabilities on our enterprise-class KOLM application.

Dr. Gururaj ‘Desh’ Deshpande

Chief Mentor

Desh is the Chief Mentor and Advisor for Aissel Solutions. As a key member of the management team, he provides invaluable advice on setting the company Vision, Leadership, Technology Roadmap and Business Management.

Desh is an influential technology entrepreneur and visionary whose companies and ideas often reshape entire industries. Dr. Deshpande is also widely respected for his contributions to education and the greater community. Numerous business and industry publications in both the US and his native India have recognized Dr. Deshpande with awards. Dr. Deshpande is frequently invited to deliver keynote addresses at business, technology, education, and government conferences.

Desh is the Chairmain of HiveFire, Sycamore Networks, Tejas Networks. Prior to co-founding Sycamore Networks, 'Desh' was founder and chairman of Cascade Communications Corp. Between 1991 and 1997, Cascade grew from a one-person startup to a company with $500 million in revenue and 900 employees. In June of 1997, Cascade was acquired by Ascend Communications for $3.7 billion.

Prior to Cascade, 'Desh' co-founded Coral Network Corporation in 1988. Previously, he served in various management positions for Codex Corporation, a subsidiary of Motorola. Before joining Codex, Dr. Deshpande taught at Queens University in Kingston, Canada.
